This subject explores the study of English language both as a medium of communication and as a topic in its own right. There is an emphasis on your ability to pursue lines of enquiry; debate different views, and work independently to research aspects of language in use.
English Literature is a great subject choice for students who enjoy reading independently, thinking critically and evaluating ideas. This course provides the opportunity to discuss, explore and interpret a wide range of literary texts, understand and evaluate literary genres and develop analysis and interpretation skills.
Students have the option to study for an extended project qualification, this qualification allows the students to independently explore a topic of their choice and develops their presentation and essay writing skills. It is particularly beneficial for students that are aspiring to the top universities in the country.
